Founded in 2015 by Hiro and Mari Watase, Salon 87 has grown with the support of our clients for more than a decade.

Salon 87 brings some of Japan's top hairstylists to New York. Our stylists are at the forefront of fashion, working on brand advertisements, commercials, and magazine shoots, as well as New York, Paris, and Milan Fashion Weeks.

Here in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, our stylists pair Japanese craftsmanship with thoughtful attention to every detail, bringing the precision of the runway to every service for our neighbors, families, and first-time guests. We also offer an education program, 87 Academy, where our instructors share that same craft with up-and-coming stylists.

Just down the street, Hanare, our Japanese-style spa, is a refined hideaway of quiet and calm, offering a slower, more serene kind of care.
